This policy explains what information PGJMiles Inc. collects when you use our websites and applications, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to pgjmiles.com and to every product operated by PGJMiles Inc.
Who we are
PGJMiles Inc. is an Ontario Business Corporation, incorporated on March 3, 2023 under Ontario Corporation Number 1000463331, with its registered office in Navan, Ontario, Canada. For anything in this policy, contact us at info@pgjmiles.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, and a password or a third party sign in token, when you create an account.
- Information from social login. If you sign in with Facebook or another provider, we receive the basic profile fields you approve at the time you connect, such as your name, profile picture, and email address. We only request the permissions our product actually needs, and you see exactly what those are before you approve them.
- Content you submit. Anything you post, upload, rank, save, or send through our products.
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is collected automatically and used to keep the service running and secure.
- Payment data. If you buy something, payment is handled by a third party processor. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store full card numbers.
How we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for, including your account and your saved content.
- To communicate with you about your account, security matters, and changes to the service.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems.
- To understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not use the data we receive from a social login provider for anything other than operating the product you connected it to.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate, such as hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics. These providers are bound by contract to handle the data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Platform data
Where our products connect to a third party platform such as Meta, we handle any data received from that platform in line with that platform's developer terms and policies. Platform data is used only to deliver the feature you connected it for, is stored no longer than needed, and is deleted when you disconnect the integration or delete your account.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal, tax, or fraud prevention reasons. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can withdraw consent for optional processing at any time. Email info@pgjmiles.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your data. You can delete your account and all associated data from inside your account settings, or follow the steps on our data deletion page.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access controlled infrastructure. Passwords are hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities if a breach occurs.
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We are based in Canada, and our service providers may process data in Canada, the United States, or the European Union. Where data leaves Canada we rely on contractual safeguards with those providers.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure usage. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working if you do.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will tell you by email or through the product before it takes effect.
